At St. Viator, we aim to make Catholic education available to all who desire it, and tuition rates are lower than the actual cost to educate students. To offset this budget gap, we conduct a number of fundraising events throughout the year.

Fall

The St. Viator Halloween Dance and Haunted House is a long-standing tradition. In 2014, parents and students designed and built a new footprint for the Haunted House which was incredibly popular. The Halloween Dance, put on by the St. Viator Parents Association, is great for school-age children, while the Haunted House typically appeals to teenagers and older.

Details on the 2017 School Halloween Dance can be found HERE.

Winter

The first weekend in December is the St. Viator Winterfest event, highlighted by the Mistletoe Market where hundreds of vendors come to show off their crafts, as well as St. Viator’s outdoor skating rink. There is also food and drink for purchase, as well as a Christmas Tree and greenery sale to get everyone in the mood of the season!

If you're interested in participating as a vendor at the Mistletoe Market, see the registration form here.

Spring

The St. Viator Elementary School Spring Soirée is always a highlight of the school year. With dinner, dancing, and a silent auction, this adults-only affair is not to be missed. Thanks to local businesses lending financial support in the way of sponsorships and fundraising, as well as donations of silent auction items, this event is the most important fundraiser of the year for the school. And almost as important, it’s an amazingly fun and enjoyable evening with the St. Viator Community!

Summer

The Old Irving Park Beer & BBQ Challenge is held in the parking lot of the school/church, and brings together Chicago-area craft brewers and pit masters for an old-fashioned cook-off. Attendees to this community event enjoy sampling all the craft beer & BBQ pairings as well as music spun by a professional DJ. The Beer & BBQ Challenge is typically held on the first Saturday in August, and draws 300+ people. Go to their website to learn more.
